Job Opportunity: Designated Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Avon Maitland District School Board. As a Designated Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting primary students in a Kindergarten classroom setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning kindergarten program
  • Provide supervision and age-appropriate learning for groups of students as part of the extended day program
  • Work closely with students with diverse needs, classroom teacher, and administration to create a supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two-year community college Early Childhood Education diploma (or in the final year of the program)
  • Proof of current registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (or in process)
  • Recent experience as an ECE working in an Early Learning Centre or Day Care would be considered an asset
  • Flexibility, patience, empathy, and the ability to work closely with students and staff
What We Offer:
  • Daily Rate: $20.18 per hour + vacation pay
  • Long Term Assignment Rate: $21.87 + vacation pay

Please note that this is a casual, call-in basis position, and availability to accept assignments on short notice is required.
