Job Title: Architectural Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in transforming architectural designs into practical, buildable projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit and SketchUp
  • Assist architects in developing and refining design concepts.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to collect data and assess project requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Create 3D models and visualizations to support design development and client presentations.
  • Review and revise drawings and documents based on feedback from architects, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support throughout the construction phase.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in an architectural technologist or related role, with at least 3 years of experience working with the Canadian bylaws and building codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
  • Ability to create accurate and detailed 3D models and visualizations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
