Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless delivery of resident care and services.
  • Exercise delegated authority for resident care planning, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Provide leadership and professional development opportunities to the team, promoting a culture of quality care.
  • Develop and monitor the overall budget, maintaining a healthy financial standing for the homes.
  • Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, best practices, and risk management processes.
  • Participate in resident assessment and care planning, collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow-up and resolution to meet resident and family standards.
  • Establish positive relationships with residents and families, addressing concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Lead resident care conferences, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Recruit, select, and hire nursing staff, ensuring training in accordance with Retirement Home Regulatory Authority regulations.
  • Manage labor relations, resolving concerns and performing performance management as needed.
  • Lead quality improvement processes, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy levels.
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships, promoting the homes and services.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of clinical and business acumen.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a senior living environment.
  • Previous management experience is considered an asset.
  • RPN/RN with current good standing with the CNO.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of computerized software and resident care management systems is an asset.
