About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer and Helper to join our team at A1 Paving Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, working closely with our experienced team.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pave and rake asphalt to create a safe and durable surface.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, contributing to a safe and efficient work process.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of our team and the public.
Requirements
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training is a must.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various locations is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail.
  • Physical demands of the job require handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and a safety vest are required personal equipment.
  • Accurate, reliable, and a team player with a hardworking attitude.
  • Experience is an asset, but not required.
