Job Title: Avionics Lifecycle Specialist
Job Summary:
The Avionics Lifecycle Specialist will provide support for the CP140 avionics systems throughout their lifecycle. This includes liaising with various stakeholders to ensure the fleet and its maintainers have access to necessary spare parts, reliable component repair and overhaul, up-to-date technical data, and the required tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide avionics system support for the lifecycle of the aircraft and its components.
- Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate progress of aircraft sustainment and betterment functions.
- Provide technical support to DND maintenance and operating units.
- Perform specialized avionics upgrades and modifications.
- Provide technical support to technicians, supply personnel, and engineers.
Requirements:
- Technologist diploma or equivalent training and experience, preferably in a military environment.
- Previous experience in the maintenance and support of DND avionics.
- Familiarity with Canadian Air Force support infrastructure and processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of CP140 avionics.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ADAM/DRMIS an asset.
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and aircraft modification process.
- Sufficient English language skills to be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- French is considered an asset.
- Ability to write routine and complex reports and complete required performance metrics.
- Ability to communicate effectively and convey ideas/information one-on-one and group settings.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
