Position Overview
We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee shift activities in a dynamic, unionized distribution center environment. This is a full-time contract role, providing an opportunity to contribute to our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Managing daily operations within a busy distribution center.
  • Training and evaluating new and existing staff members.
  • Ensuring customer service objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, operational standards, and budgetary goals.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Overseeing inventory management, fleet operations, and quality control.
  • Adapting to a 24-hour operational schedule as needed.
  • Completing additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.

Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management.

Familiarity with SAP is a plus.Experience in a unionized setting is highly desirable.A valid 'G' class driver's license is required.

Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with employees at all levels.Proven leadership skills to effectively manage a team.Positive interpersonal skills for collaboration with peers and customers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to make timely and informed decisions.Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations is advantageous.
