**Purpose of Role**: _Reporting to the Steel Processing Supervisor, the CNC Plasma Machine Operator is responsible for cuts, trims, or scarfs metal plate with plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment to dimensions, contour, or bevel specified by blueprints and/or work orders._

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Continuous Improvement**:Involved in process improvements and complex jobs
**Preventative Maintenance**:Thorough preventative maintenance of machine and ability to resolve some mechanical issues
**Training**:Assist with training and mentoring

**Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Thorough understanding and use of measuring tools
- Thorough understanding of drawings and work orders
- Understand settings and different features on the machine for specific tasks
