The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses experience in truck, trailer, or heavy equipment sales and/or finance and leasing industries.
  • Understands the nuances of the Minnesota market and possesses strong industry relationships.
  • Is a self-starter with a hunter mentality who enjoys working independently and on the road.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales and gross profit objectives set by the Sales Manager.
  • Drive growth and development within your assigned region.
  • Continuously prospect, qualify, and develop relationships with new customers.
  • Maintain direct relationships with all customers and ensure regular communication.
  • Leverage customer relationships to assist with collections and repossessions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and updated CRM records.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to customers.
  • Stay informed about all policies, products, and programs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budget.
  • Attend trade shows and other events as required.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time within your assigned territory.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Abilities:

  • Requires frequent sitting for extended periods in an office setting.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input it into the computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience.
  • Experience in truck and/or equipment financing.
  • Background in finance, truck, or equipment sales.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new information.
