The Maintenance Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art production facility. This position involves leading maintenance teams and collaborating with external contractors to ensure optimal operational performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for motivating and developing team members to achieve exceptional results while promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion safe work practices and address any safety concerns within the team. Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Facilitate training and orientation to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce, overseeing formal training programs and verifying completion.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain adherence to relevant safety plans.
- Lead the maintenance team in executing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, utilizing maintenance planning systems effectively.
- Drive performance by setting clear targets and ensuring the team meets or exceeds these goals.
- Utilize information tools to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
- Conduct root cause analyses for significant deviations from performance targets.
- Manage maintenance deliverables related to the planning, assessment, and implementation of new equipment and processes.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with all team members.
- Provide timely feedback on performance and assist in the onboarding of new hires.
- Oversee attendance records and address any related issues.
- Ensure adequate staffing for rotating shifts in a continuous operation environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in food production.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage maintenance inventory effectively.
- Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration and team development.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in structured maintenance planning and scheduling is essential.
- Licensure as a Millwright or Electrician is preferred.
- A high school diploma is required; a college or university degree is advantageous.
