About the Role:
J & A INTERNATIONAL INC is seeking a skilled Textile Quality Control Specialist to join our team in the clothing/textile manufacturing industry. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine fabric or products for conformity to quality standards
- Inspect and grade hides, pelts or leather
- Inspect finished and pre-finished products
- Mark defects
- Package products
- Prepare samples
- Record information on products inspected or graded
- Repair minor defects
- Sort products by style, colour, size, length or other criteria
- Trim excess material, remove spots and lint
Work Environment:
The work site environment is dusty and noisy. This is a green job that contributes to environmental preservation, conservation, and restoration. The employer stated that this position is a green job, because it involves tasks and responsibilities contributing to positive environmental outcomes and helping Canada achieve its net-zero target.
