Job Title: Java Software Engineer

Overview:
Our company is a leading provider of electronic medical records solutions in North America. We are seeking a highly motivated Java Developer to join our R&D team in Markham, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology company that values innovation and teamwork.

The Role:
-Contribute to the development of our business initiatives by supporting team members with design, prototyping, implementation, and deployment of core platform services.
-Develop a deep understanding of our product, documenting design and code details, and participating in peer code reviews.
-Write maintainable code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional software engineering environment.
-Collaborate across the company to define, design, and build new features.
-Tackle complex problems in distributed computing, performance, and more.

Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
-Strong background in networking, operating systems, and security.
-Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience with Java and overall software development experience.
-Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies.
-Highly motivated with good communications and organization skills.
-Experienced working with traditional RDBMS databases.
-Experienced at contributing to OpenSource software projects.
-Experienced working with PostgreSQL.

Nice to Have:
-Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit).
-Experience with Maven and GIT.
-Experience with Cloud based services.
