The Royal Conservatory is renowned for its commitment to music education and performance excellence. We are seeking a dedicated Bartender (Part-Time) to enhance our beverage services and ensure an exceptional experience for our patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and professional beverage service at various locations within the venue.
- Assist in delivering beverages during special events, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
- Manage high-volume service during intermissions efficiently to maximize patron satisfaction.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the beverage and food offerings, along with event specifics.
- Report any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Strive to deliver outstanding customer service to all attendees.
- Document any incidents or breakages that occur during shifts.
- Adhere to all regulations regarding the responsible service of alcohol.
- Uphold best practices for beverage service, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all service areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Conduct inventory checks before, during, and after shifts to optimize sales.
- Restock supplies as necessary and secure inventory post-shift.
- Complete cash handling and inventory forms accurately at the end of each shift.
- Occasionally assist with merchandise sales during concerts.
Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in bartending or food service is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts are essential.
- Commitment to safety and responsible beverage handling is crucial.
- Experience in a similar performance venue is advantageous.
- A passion for music and the arts is highly valued.
- Must exhibit enthusiasm, friendliness, and professionalism at all times.
- Ability to remain calm and address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cash management and POS systems is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, averaging 10-15 hours per week.
Compensation
- Hourly wage of $16.80.
Additional Information
- Shifts may vary, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- This role requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
