Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher on Call to join our team. As a Teacher on Call, you will serve as a teacher in various school and educational situations, providing one-to-one support and/or small group reinforcement to students in all academic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students in all subjects
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those of Aboriginal ancestry
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and community members
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Successful experience working with students of Aboriginal ancestry
  • Knowledge and understanding of local Aboriginal culture and traditions
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in team development and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Sector
  • Valid BC Driver's License (Class 5) or N
