POSITION: Regional Operations Manager

Location: Grande Prairie, AB

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Regional Operations Manager in Grande Prairie to become part of our Western Canada Operations Team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, Alberta North, the successful applicant will oversee the effective and profitable management of approximately 10 – 13 locations. This position is vital for maintaining network stability and plays a crucial role within our business unit. You will serve as a bridge between our locations and the Support Office, collaborating with District Managers, Corporate Store Managers, and Business Partners to ensure the successful implementation of company-directed initiatives, promotions, and marketing strategies. Our comprehensive training program underscores the significance of this role, equipping our Regional Operations Managers for the challenges they will encounter in the field.

Here’s a summary of the primary responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Provide support to a group of store operators on all facets of store management, including controls, promotional activities, community engagement, inspections, and overall performance.
  • Emphasize customer service, engagement, and swiftly address escalated customer issues.
  • Conduct district meetings, deliver training programs, and communicate directives to store operators.
  • Oversee store operations, cleanliness, inventory levels, and enforce corporate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor sales performance, competitive pricing, sales incentives, and promotional activities.
  • Implement all security measures, mystery shopping, and health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and adhere to relevant legislation at each location.
  • Actively engage in the recruitment, selection, and development of store operators and corporate managers.
  • Minimize loss through effective inventory control, monitoring levels, and conducting theft investigations.
  • Ensure operational compliance with franchised locations.
  • Manage P&L responsibilities, sales targets, and contract execution.
  • Communicate all necessary information and reports through appropriate channels.
  • Coordinate and manage external services as required.
  • Follow merchandising guidelines, store layouts, and participate in renovations.
  • Undertake any special projects as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a retail or food service environment is required.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and resourcefulness are essential.
  • Customer service-oriented, emotionally intelligent, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for operating a company vehicle.
