Job Title: Child Care Live-In Caregiver

Bergonia residence is seeking a reliable and compassionate Child Care Live-In Caregiver to join our team. As a key member of our household, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience an asset.
  • Tasks:
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
    • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, fostering a sense of responsibility and independence.
    • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
    • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting socialization and fun.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary needs and preferences.
    • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, ensuring a smooth transition to sleep.
    • Supervise and care for children, providing a safe and nurturing environment.
    • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring timely and reliable transportation.
    • Help children with homework, supporting their academic development and progress.

Work Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week.

Work Language: English or French.
