About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Technology Specialist to join our team at the National Research Council Canada (NRC). As a key member of our Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of innovative Canadian companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on technology innovation and commercialization strategies
  • Collaborate with company leaders to identify and address technical and business obstacles, and develop solutions to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and other key players to promote the NRC's mandate and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide informed guidance and support to SMEs
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Science or Engineering related to the position, or relevant work experience or complementary degrees in business, management, finance, or marketing
  • Strong industrial business background in technological domains like Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, or Chemical engineering
  • Proven experience in developing and commercializing innovative products or services in the private sector
  • Experience in areas such as natural resources, oil and gas, international business development, or SME management is valuable

  • A competitive salary range of $137,226 - $161,258, with a typical range of $137,226 - $150,704 for Industrial Technology Advisors
