About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Import Specialist to join our team at Canada Produce. As an Import Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the importation of produce from various suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with suppliers to arrange for the importation of produce, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of import shipments, including documentation and inventory tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues or concerns related to importation, storage, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring a high level of service and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure Canada Produce remains competitive and compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • 3-5 years of experience in importation, procurement, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in inventory management and tracking software a plus.
