Job Title: Project Engineer Hybrid

Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for leading and overseeing the technical coordination of projects engineering for grid scale projects from development through construction. This includes PV, Wind and BESS projects in North America for various departments such as Development, Engineering, and Pre-construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate preliminary collection system, substation and transmission design, as well as electrical and civil design basis of assigned projects.
  • Help facilitate preliminary engineering design activities including geotechnical, lidar hydrology and electrical.
  • Participate in Project review led by the Phase Leader (Project Development, Project Implementation). Attend weekly/monthly meetings associated with the project review.
  • Serve as technical interface/lead with respective teams, including Development, Permitting, Interconnection, Estimating, Procurement, Resource Assessment and Project Management teams.
  • Manage external 3rd-party engineering Collaborate externally and internally throughout projects in development, with consideration of EDF technical specifications and lessons learned.
  • Support EDF team for technology review and equipment.
  • Work closely with EDF Development on permitting requirements to ensure designs meet the.
  • Support EDF Developers and conduct development site visit to support site.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical (preferred), civil or mechanical.
  • Good understanding of PV, Storage and/or Wind technology, preferably.
  • Previous experience of 3-5+ years on renewable energy projects is.
  • Requires diversified knowledge of relevant codes, standards and engineering principles and practices required to produce safe, efficient, reliable, easy to operate and maintain, and cost-effective designs.
  • Experienced with various Microsoft and engineering software including AutoCAD, ETAP and/or any other power system software.
  • Experience/Knowledge with PV tooling software is preferred (. PVSyst, PVCAse, System Advisory Model).
