Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Building Code Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging with various projects that require a deep understanding of building and fire code regulations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who values professionalism and has a good sense of humor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in diverse projects concerning Building and Fire Code services and their applications.
- Act as a representative for CEP Forensic in all client interactions.
- Conduct site visits and participate in meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Review architectural drawings and propose alternative solutions as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports and communications with guidance from senior staff.
- Undergo training for specialized project types such as Adjacent Property Protection Plans.
- Manage client expectations regarding quality and timelines.
- Perform fire protection analyses and research to assist senior team members.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities while contributing to marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in engineering or architecture.
- At least 2 years of experience in design, construction, and code compliance on medium to large-scale projects including residential, commercial, and institutional developments.
- Familiarity with the National Building Code (NBC) and Fire Codes (NFC & NFPA).
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
- Ability to adapt to varying workloads and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proven capability to build positive relationships with project teams and clients.
- Eligibility to obtain government security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
