Role Overview

The Business Applications Manager plays a crucial role in identifying, planning, coordinating, and overseeing all activities related to business applications within the organization. Collaborating with various departments, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing both new and existing systems and applications. Promoting a positive image of the company through safety, quality, and professionalism is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Business Applications Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting project requirements analysis and developing plans for system implementation and conversion.
  • Preparing and securing approval for system and programming documentation.
  • Recommending improvements in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Executing comprehensive user training for system conversions and implementations.
  • Managing the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and administration of Microsoft NAV & Dynamics.
  • Analyzing business processes and aligning systems hardware/software with technical solutions.
  • Providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective systems and procedures that meet user needs.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to resolve business or systems issues.
  • Supporting end users with Microsoft NAV & Dynamics.
  • Delivering first and second-level support for users.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures in all functions and responsibilities.
  • Collaborating with application vendors and developers for third-party support and customization.
  • Maintaining professionalism in alignment with company values, including language, attire, and workmanship.
  • Being available for overtime and on-call duties as required by the company.
  • Performing additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in engineering and designing comprehensive business solutions that interact with corporate databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.

Knowledge:

  • Proven expertise in ERP system configuration and report generation, specifically with MS NAV & Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and controls is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience with Artificial Intelligence applications in a business context.
  • Strong relational database modeling skills are essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems and service application environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, IIS, SQL, and MS Office 365.
