Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will provide full scope of practice, participate in call rotation, and support your own site and others in the Western Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full scope of practice, including endoscopy and other gastroenterology procedures
  • Participate in call rotation, including day-time and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
  • Support your own site and others in the Western Zone, including day-time and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
  • Be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for professional responsibilities and quality of practice
  • Operate with the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
  • Participate in teaching both medical students and internal medicine residents and fellows

Expected Hours

Full-time, with flexible vacation time and compensation based on fee-for-service

Qualifications

Candidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or eligible to take the Fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine
