Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement
  • Preparing tenders and quotations
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Imparting desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing and restoring surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Estimating costs and materials
  • Operating CADD and other computer software systems
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dusty, cold/refrigerated, dangerous, hot, noisy, outdoors and wet/damp environment.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • No degree, certificate or diploma
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Language:

The successful candidate will be fluent in English.

Work Term:

The successful candidate will work on a permanent basis.Hours:

The successful candidate will work 30 to 44 hours per week.
