About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team at APTECH Technical Service. As a Mechanical Technologist, you will play a key role in assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and carrying out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and installations.
  • Carry out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to ensure quality and performance.
  • Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for mechanical systems.
  • Estimate costs and materials for mechanical projects.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems.
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants.
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Test machines and equipment to ensure quality and performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and other relevant software.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
