Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling of dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in long haul truck driving.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, including handling heavy loads and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and hardworking.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Willing to relocate and travel cross-border, nationally, and internationally.
  • Work Schedule: Overtime required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
