Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for various manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create and maintain precision tools and dies.
  • Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes to ensure efficient production.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances, and set up machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, drill, bore, or grind metal stock or castings.
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Fitting and assembling or disassembling parts using hand tools.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a tooling maintenance position.
  • Direct experience in a welding/stamping facility is preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate tool room machines.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of GD&T.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Licensed Tool and Die Maker Certificate Ontario/Red Seal (430A) is preferred.

  • Day Shift 6:30am -2:30pm with OT after 40+hours.
