About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Annapolis & Kings County, NS. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, and provide support with mobility and transfers

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
  • PSW, HSW, etc. certification from another province or other relevant certification or work experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
