Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise & Wellness Specialist to join our team at Servus Place. As a key member of our recreation and parks team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and program/fitness service delivery to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the fitness area and deliver fitness centre orientations
  • Provide member goal setting sessions and deliver fitness services
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and some cleaning duties
  • Deliver group fitness instruction, personal training, sport performance instruction, and fitness assessments
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in a recreation/fitness environment
  • CSEP-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, or equivalent certifications required
  • AFLCA or equivalent group exercise certification an asset
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification required prior to hire
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with a membership management database
Working Conditions

The facility is open Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $24.70. A separate wage range will apply for additional positions such as group fitness instruction ($55.00 per hour), personal training ($42.50 per hour), and sport performance instruction ($60.00 per hour).

  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory police information check
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of educational and professional credentials
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification required prior to starting
