Job Summary

The Legault Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team at our Distribution Center in Anjou. As an Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the distribution center team, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving documents, and other relevant data.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the movement of goods and materials within the distribution center, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
  • Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the distribution center team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including warehouse staff, transportation providers, and other external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a logistics or distribution environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business administration or related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
