Job Title: Laboratory Analyst

Florida Crystals / ASR Group is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Quality Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of testing, including raw sugar, molasses, and liquid sugars, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to CCPs and CQPs.
  • Prepare and coordinate COA data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Verify and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collect, organize, and ship samples to 3rd party laboratories for testing.
  • Participate in proficiency and round robin testing assignments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in sugar manufacturing or distribution.
  • Experience working with SAP.
