Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy by verifying packing slips against handling units.
  • Execute various routine tasks related to shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Conduct administrative duties linked to material and equipment handling, including data entry.
  • Mentor and guide new warehouse personnel on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Perform physical inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Log the movement of materials in the EWM system, ensuring correct inventory management.
  • Proactively identify shortages and suggest improvements to relevant departments.
  • Sort and repalletize products as necessary.
  • Engage in open communication with team members and management.
  • Participate in daily meetings to discuss progress, expectations, and safety practices.
  • Handle customer pickups by matching packages to delivery notes.
  • Operate equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts as required.
  • Conduct visual inspections of storage racks for any damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift, push, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong punctuality and reliability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills for basic issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
