About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and psycho-social recovery of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical and cognitive functioning to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance clients' functional abilities and promote independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to clients and their families on topics such as safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support return-to-work programs and provide job coaching and accommodation recommendations to facilitate successful reintegration into the workforce.
  • Utilize electronic charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark's occupational therapy programs and services.
Requirements
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development and FCE training.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WCB referrals is an asset.
  • Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset.
