Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our team at The Home Depot Canada. As a Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and processing of merchandise, managing associate performance, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Management: Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs, manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards and recognition, and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Receiving and Processing: Review the inbound shipment log to plan for receiving/pack out needs, enter information about incoming merchandise into the stores' computer system, process and prepare paperwork for shipping products, and unload merchandise and check quantity and quality.
  • Safety and Asset Protection: Ensure that all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols are clearly communicated and followed.
  • Training and Development: Teach and train associates on how to reduce shrink and improve receiving processes.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor/leading teams.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Decision Making: Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
