This role as a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic involves working primarily within our well-equipped facility. Please note that travel and accommodation will not be provided.

Our technicians appreciate the variety of specialized equipment and the advanced tools available, which contribute to a fulfilling work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on highway tractors and trailers, including specialty units
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and after-treatment systems
  • Handle hydraulic and PTO diagnostics and repairs
  • Manage clutches, transmissions, and differentials
  • Conduct commercial vehicle inspections
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and replace or repair defective components
  • Interpret work orders and manage shop operations
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman certification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class 1 driver's license is a plus
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is advantageous
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must possess personal tools necessary for the role

  • Familiarity with Cummins, CAT, and Mercedes engines is beneficial
