We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer in Food Studies to teach a course in Special Topics in Food Studies at the University of Toronto. Course Description:

This seminar will expose students to advanced subject matter and research methods in Food Studies. Each seminar will explore a selected topic, and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and teaching the course content, including preparation and delivery of course materials, development and administration of assignments and exams, and calculation and submission of grades.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and teach a university credit course in Special Topics in Food Studies
  • Prepare and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and exams
  • Develop and administer assignments and exams, and calculate and submit grades
  • Hold regular office hours and be available to students
Requirements:
  • PhD or ABD in Food Studies related field with teaching experience in research methodologies and record of food studies publications
  • Strong academic record and professional promise, with ongoing research and publication in the field of Food Studies
  • Ability to demonstrate pedagogical skills and approaches
