Job Title: Sessional Lecturer

We are seeking a qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach a course in Corporate Strategy at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Job Description:

The Sessional Lecturer will be responsible for teaching a course in Corporate Strategy, which includes preparation and delivery of course content, development and administration of assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests, and exams, as well as calculation and submission of grades. The lecturer will also be expected to hold regular office hours and maintain reasonable availability for student and administrative contact.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of a relevant professional or graduate degree
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence
  • Currency in and mastery of subject area
  • At least three years experience in a private-sector role dealing with business issues
  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Several years related professional experience and/or previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations
TA Support:

The Sessional Lecturer will receive approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled as long as 30 students enroll.

Salary:

The salary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) inclusive of vacation pay will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
