Our agency is currently in a phase of growth and is on the lookout for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to fulfill the role of Insurance Account Representative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell auto and property insurance solutions to individual and business clients to achieve agency objectives.
- Conduct tailored needs assessments for clients.
- Offer expert insurance guidance and solutions aligned with client requirements, ensuring appropriate premium charges based on risk evaluation.
- Focus on fulfilling the needs of the personal market utilizing the complete range of Desjardins Insurance auto and property insurance products.
- Calculate premiums and determine suitable payment options.
- Present and clarify policies to policyholders, analyzing insurance programs to recommend enhancements or modifications, including beneficiary changes.
- Ensure compliance with policy requirements, including necessary inspections and completion of relevant documentation.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications:
- Self-driven and motivated.
- Empathetic and compassionate.
- Responsible and accountable.
- Possession of an OTL license (successful completion of the exam required prior to employment).
- Exceptional communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese is essential.
Compensation Package:
- Base salary: $50,000
- Commission structure
- Year-end bonus opportunity
- Life and living benefits up to $200/month following probationary period
- Paid vacation time
- Comprehensive health plan
This position is associated with an independent contractor agent within the Desjardins exclusive agent network, and not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. Employees of this agent are not considered employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for all employment decisions regarding their staff.
