Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks to patrons in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age.
  • Take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect payment.
  • Stock and maintain the bar area, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completed bartending classes preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of bartending experience.
  • Provincial Smart Serve or Pro Serve certification where applicable.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and ingredients.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

The Bartender will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
