Job Summary:

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist I with Alberta Health Services, you will play a critical role in producing and recording high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists and Cardiologists. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and record magnetic resonance images for diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology
  • Prepare and position patients for examination, review patient history, and explain procedures
  • Respond to the physical and psychological needs of patients throughout the scanning procedure
  • Maintain MRI equipment and ensure optimal performance

Requirements:

  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program or a certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
