Key Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Repair cracks and holes to create a seamless surface.
- Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
- Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, providing expert guidance to ensure the best results.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality.
- Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate and reliable information to clients.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with odours.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
- Ability to distinguish between colours, with attention to detail and hand-eye co-ordination.
- Physical demands of the role include bending, crouching, and kneeling, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
