About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at DATOS SUPPORT CONSULTING INC. as a key member of our technical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
  • System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, maintain, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network start-up and close-down, maintain control records, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Technical Support: Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, providing timely and effective technical assistance.
  • Web-Server Management: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and system availability.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of technical projects.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Development and Operations (DevOps): Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Networking Software: Proficiency in networking software, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Networking Hardware: In-depth knowledge of networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • File Management Software: Experience with file management software, including data backup and recovery.
  • Information Technology: Strong understanding of IT principles and practices.
  • Database Software: Familiarity with database software, including design and implementation.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages, including development and testing.
  • Software Development: Experience with software development, including design, testing, and deployment.
  • MS Windows: Strong understanding of MS Windows operating system, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Firewall: Experience with firewall configuration and management.
