Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Applications Engineer to join our team at ATS Automation. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and developing custom automation solutions for the Life Sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Requirements Analysis: Analyze and understand customer technical requirements to develop effective automation solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Develop and manage proposal development plans, including collaboration with ATS subject matter experts.
  • Team Management: Manage proposal development teams, including sourcing and managing third-party suppliers.
  • Concept Development: Develop concepts for custom automation solutions, including cost models and technical risk management.
  • Customer Engagement: Travel to customer sites to review current manufacturing practices and present technical proposals.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Participate in sales strategy development, working with the ATS capture teams.
  • Technical Proposal Writing: Write technical proposals and present solutions to senior management for approvals.

Requirements
  • Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical/systems/electrical engineering or equivalent.
