About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at Performance Health. As a Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage therapy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultations
    • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Treatment Administration
    • Administer various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
    • Assess clients' range of motion and muscle function to identify areas of tension and propose effective treatment plans.
  • Client Education
    • Explain treatment procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their care.
    • Provide clients with home care instructions and information on techniques to promote ongoing wellness.
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, including client progress and any notable observations.
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Hold certification from a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
    • Exhibit a client-focused approach, prioritizing their needs and comfort throughout the treatment process.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a private practice setting, with opportunities to develop and implement treatment plans in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Hold certification from a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Education and Experience
    • Hold an Other trades certificate or diploma.
    • Experience in the field is an asset.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Be able to provide own transportation.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills.
    • Exhibit interpersonal awareness and values and ethics.
