Overview: Voice-activated functionalities are enhancing the daily lives of numerous Alexa users, making everyday tasks more manageable.

We are experiencing a pivotal moment in Alexa's evolution, where these essential features are becoming increasingly personalized, fostering closer connections among family members and facilitating effective coordination.

The Alexa Calendar team is dedicated to improving communication and organization for families in a delightful manner.

Our mission is to fundamentally transform Alexa's personal features, leveraging AI to enhance the Family Assistant experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be a key player in shaping the architectural vision and future direction of the product.
  • Collaborate with product management, user experience, and cross-functional teams to create and deliver comprehensive customer experiences that are both intelligent and tailored.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to operational excellence by implementing and promoting best practices.
  • Recruit and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of both new and existing systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
