We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at 2213912 Alberta Inc. as a key member of our estimating department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve working closely with our project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that our estimates are comprehensive and meet the client's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures and cost monitoring systems
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
