Construction Estimator

Alberta Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, project cash flow, and financing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including labour and material costs.
- Project cash flow and financing requirements to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines.
- Develop and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with estimating packages, scheduling packages, and database management.
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and Quick Books.
- Knowledge of civil, commercial, and residential construction projects.
