Job Summary

The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant community. We are seeking a Recreation and Cultural Services Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement program content for intermediate sport programs.
  • Coordinate and instruct programs, ensuring a fun and safe environment for participants.
  • Supervise staff and coordinate program logistics.

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 11.
  • Post-secondary education in Recreation or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sport specialty area.
  • Experience in staff supervision and program coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates.
  • AODA Customer Service/IASR Training.
  • Appropriate certification in the relevant recreation/sports program.
