Job Title: Human Resource Officer

Job Summary:

The Town of The Pas is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing human resource services and ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and support management and staff in navigating employment matters, including progressive discipline, grievances, performance management, investigations, and Workplace Health and Safety compliance.
  2. Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for new employees across all departments.
  3. Develop and review job descriptions, performance reviews, and analyze HR data to inform business decisions.
  4. Recommend, develop, schedule, and track training and development courses to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  5. Provide guidance and support to Department Heads to ensure adherence to legislation, collective agreements, company policy, and Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
  6. Manage assigned projects by researching information, analyzing data, and preparing recommendations for review by the Chief Administrative Officer.
  7. Participate in emergency response activities in accordance with the Town Emergency Measures Plan.
Working Conditions:
  1. Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (some overtime may be required)
  2. Fast-paced office environment with tasks and priorities shifting rapidly.
Compensation:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
