Job Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a key member of our team, responsible for performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with our Work Performed policy and any specialized work for which they are suitably trained and authorized.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in accordance with our Work Performed policy and any specialized work for which they are suitably trained and authorized.
  • Identify and order parts.
  • Perform required computer entries and functions.
  • Sign for the performance of their work.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain their personal records.
  • Ensure any issues that could jeopardize production or airworthiness are raised in a timely manner.
  • Ensure airworthiness and safety policies, processes and standards are complied with.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy workplace.

Requirements

  • Transport Canada Accepted Aircraft Maintenance Training course or an Accredited Course.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience on a commercial or military aircraft, an asset.
  • Able to work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge.
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Able to communicate in English and French.
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values.
  • Experience in Line Maintenance in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity, and Together.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting / carrying / pushing / pulling up to 70 lbs.
  • Working in confined spaces.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and shift work according to flight operations.
  • Will be required to work outdoors.
  • Travel is required for the position.
  • International travel may also be required in this role.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities

Employees are responsible for:

  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations.
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment.
  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR

Position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
