At Top Aces, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with our Work Performed policy and specialized work procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with experience in airframe, avionics, or structural repair. You will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, identify and order parts, and perform required computer entries and functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing work in accordance with the Work Performed policy and specialized work procedures
  • Identifying and ordering parts
  • Performing required computer entries and functions
  • Signing for the performance of work
  • Complying with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Maintaining personal records
  • Raising issues that could jeopardize production or airworthiness in a timely manner
  • Ensuring airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards are complied with
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace

Education and/or work experience requirements include:

  • Transport Canada Accepted Aircraft Maintenance Training course or an Accredited Course
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience on a commercial or military aircraft, an asset
  • Able to work on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Able to communicate in English and French
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values
  • Experience in Line Maintenance in a fast-paced environment is preferred
  • Able to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity, and Together

Physical requirements include:

  • Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs
  • Working in confined spaces

Working conditions include:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and shift work according to flight operations
  • Will be required to work outdoors
  • Travel is required for the position
  • International travel may also be required in this role

Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities include:

  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
  • Reporting hazards to their supervisor immediately

Security Clearance Requirements/CGP/ITAR include:

  • Position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
