Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team in a Private Home setting. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to children in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Supervision
    • Provide one-on-one care and supervision to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Develop and implement engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Household Management
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
    • Run errands as needed, such as grocery shopping and picking up supplies.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and supervision.
    • Work collaboratively with other caregivers to ensure the best possible care for children.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and ability to build strong relationships with children and families.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
    • Initiative and ability to take on new challenges.
    • Judgement and decision-making skills.
    • Organized and reliable with excellent time management skills.
    • Patience and understanding when working with children.
    • Honesty and integrity in all interactions.
  • Work Environment
    • Non-smoking environment.
    • Urban area with public transportation available.
